AGHome Local terms of use
This English version is a courtesy translation. If there is any discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails.
1. Acceptance
By installing or using AGHome Local you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. What AGHome Local is
AGHome Local is an Android app that runs a filtering DNS server (AdGuard Home) on your own device and directs the device's DNS queries to it through a local VPN. GNApps does not operate any server your traffic goes through.
3. Bundled free software
The app includes AdGuard Home, published by AdGuard Software Ltd under the GNU General Public License, version 3 (GPL-3.0). That license, and not these terms, governs the use, copying and modification of that program. Its source code is at github.com/AdguardTeam/AdGuardHome; the bundled version is stated in the app, under “About and licenses”. AGHome Local is an independent project, with no affiliation with or endorsement from AdGuard.
4. Permitted use
You may install and use the app free of charge on your devices, for lawful purposes. If you install it on a device used by someone else, you must tell them that their DNS is being filtered and logged.
5. Third-party lists and servers
The blocklists and DNS servers you use belong to third parties. GNApps does not control them and is not responsible for their content, accuracy or availability. A list may block a legitimate site or let a malicious one through.
6. Not a security guarantee
DNS filtering reduces exposure to known domains, but it does not replace an antivirus or the usual precautions, and it does not protect against threats that do not depend on a domain name. It also does not hide your IP address or encrypt the rest of your traffic.
7. No warranties
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. If the filter stops or fails, the device may be temporarily left without name resolution until you turn the filter off or restart it.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, GNApps will not be liable for indirect damages, loss of data or connection interruptions arising from the use of, or inability to use, the app. Nothing above limits the rights that consumer protection law grants you and that cannot be waived.
9. Changes
The app and these terms may change. The version in force is the one published on this page, with its update date.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Mexican States. For any dispute, the parties submit to the competent courts of [PENDING: city and state], unless the law provides otherwise in favor of the consumer.
